Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend. As you know, G. Boo and I spent a long weekend in the Los Angeles area and it was absolutely wonderful. We primarily went because we had appointments to look at wedding venues in the surrounding areas. For different reasons, we loved all three venues we toured. One of the areas we looked at was in Catalina Island. We loved the beauty of the town, the wedding and reception area, and the food choices on the island. The only issue we have is the only two ways getting to the island is by ferry or helicopter…both at a charge. Because we have to think about our guests, this option will probably be scratched off the list. We visited properties in Santa Barbara as well as Long Beach. I have a conference to attend in LA in July. So I plan to visit another three or four spots and will make a decision shortly thereafter.
Southern Cal is a blogger’s paradise!!! It seemed at every turn I found spots for photo shoots. Unfortunately, I didn’t have enough time (or outfits) to do so. But when I return in July, I will definitely get way more shoots in. And let me tell you, G. Boo was totally awesome as my photographer. He never complained about all of the photo shoots and improptus I tortured him with. So kisses to you Boo!
Now let’s get to this dress. There are three things in fashion I love: off-the-shoulder, pom poms/tassels, and maxi dresses. I’ve never met a maxi dress I didn’t like and this one is no exception. I love that this dress is a classy yet fun wrap maxi dress that would be perfect for a spring or summer wedding. And the peek-a-boo slit sleeves are super cute and add a classy element to this dress. This dress runs true to size but is very long. I am 5’6″ and wore four inch heels with this dress and I had at least four or five inches of dress touching the ground. I had to cinch the side of the dress the entire time I wore it. So for my tall gals who struggle with finding true maxi dresses, this one is for you!
I wore this dress at one of the wedding venues I had scheduled. The property was so gorgeous, I just had to have a photo shoot here. It was too beautiful to pass up! What do you think?
And just a quick FYI, I normally change my giveaway signup for (right sidebar) at the beginning of every month. Because I’ve been swamped with life, I am playing catch-up but will have a new one up on tomorrow here on the blog as well on my Facebook page. I apologize for the inconvenience.
Again, I hope each of you had a wonderful weekend. Please tell me what you did. And what do you think of this maxi. Don’t you agree it would be perfect for a spring/summer wedding? Thank you so much for reading. And as always, have a beautiful day!
