Warning: Photo Overload! Just kidding. I had such a great time with this photo shoot that it was hard to choose just 10-12 photos for this post. Instead there are 15.
Now…In the ‘Leave It to Beaver’ days of strict fashion rules, wearing white post-Labor Day was considered a huge no-no. But then again, black was once only proper for mourning, and denim was only acceptable if you were mining for gold or maybe repairing someone’s carriage. But thank the good Lord times have changed. Especially the antiquated notion that you can’t wear white after Labor Day.
The truth is you can wear white any time to the year/365 days a year. I think white jeans should be a fall staple just as much as it is during the summer…but perhaps with a few less rips or none at all.
Here I paired my white jeans and tee with other fall staples: neutral-colored long cardigan and booties. Ithink these two colors together say ‘I’m not yet ready for summer to end but still looking forward to fall.’ During the day when the temps are still warm, the cardigan can be taken off while still looking stylish. But the cardigan is perfect for those chilly evenings and nights. This would also look really cute with white denim shorts. But only for the beginning of fall days, September and October. I think any later in the year wouldn’t be appropriate due to the temps…unless you live in Florida!
What do you think? Do you wear white after Labor Day? Or do you feel doing so is strictly a no-no? Please do tell!
Thank you so much for reading. And as always, have a beautiful day.
