One dress, Three ways – Today I’m going to share a few spring staples that are comfortable, extremely versatile, budget-friendly, and oh so very classic! (See a similar Spring Transition post from last year here.)
When it comes to an everyday dress that you can get the most bang for your buck, Nordstrom is a go-to for me. Nordstrom has a great selection of sleeveless dresses that are great foundation investments. Another spring must-have is a classic chambray shirt. I think I own three of these and trust me, I wear each and everyone of them. Versatility is the name of the game, Y’all!
A few years ago I purchased this London Fog trench coat. Forgive me for not remembering where I purchased it from. Although I post of affordable pieces here on KUWC, my dream is to own a Burberry trench coat. A piece like this is one you know you’ll still wear and love thirty years from now. Eventually, I will break down and save $100 a month specifically for this big-ticket item! This way, I can take the plunge without guilt! (Thanks for this tip, Kathleen!!)
Now for these looks, I basically layered a light spring sweater over my sleeveless dress. Then I paired the same dress with a chambray and a trench coat for a look that would work in the office, date night, or lunch with the girls. These looks would also be perfect for church or a quick weekend getaway! You could easily wear booties, sneakers or sandals with a dress like this. The silhouette and fabric is so easy to make it your own, and the ruching at the hips provides some camouflaging (which I appreciate).
I’ve always loved transitioning into spring because it’s so easy to pair winter/fall pieces with your new spring pieces. Now that’s what’s up!
Thank you so much for reading. I love having you here. And as always, have a beautiful day!
