Sangrias aren’t just for the summer. As I’ve stated before, one of the many things I love about the Holiday seasons are all the wonderful recipes out there! And this drink recipe is no different. Great for that Holiday party, dinner, or just having around the house to sip on! This recipe looks sophisticated. But I promise you it’s actually quite simple.
This recipe skips the sugar because the apple cider and spumante are both actually very sweet.
For this recipe, instead of using apple slices, I decided to make them grated. Don’t know why…I just did!
2 apples, peeled, cored, and thinly sliced
Bottle of Martini & Rossi Spumante
half gallon apple cider
1 cup cognac
1/2 cup pomegranate seeds
Pour into a pitcher: apple cider, spumante, and cognac. Mix. Add ice, if desired. Add apples and pomegranate seeds. Mix. Pour sangria into glasses and garnish with leftover apples and pomegranate seeds. Viola!
For a non-alcoholic version, just substitute the liquor with any soda or sparkling drink.
Do you have a favorite Holiday drink you plan on making and/or serving this year? If so, I would love to know what it is.
Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by!
