The Perfect Dress to Wear to a Winter Wedding

What to Wear to a Winter Wedding

I am not a supermodel, or even a regular model…nor will I ever be! And let me tell you why. Models shoot in some of the most beautiful places and desirable climates…sometimes. Sometimes they have to shoot in temps below 20*…just like I did with this shoot. When models accept work, they are obligated to shoot in whatever conditions the brand set up. I, on the other hand, have a choice. I don’t know WHAT possessed me to shoot in temps so low. But trust me, it will NEVER happen again! #neversaynever Normally, each shoot lasts about 30 minutes. I could only give 10 minutes for this shoot.

But enough about that. I did a post for The Perfect Dress to Wear to a Fall Wedding (see that post here). When I saw this dress, I immediately fell in love with it. I wish I’d had this dress for NYE. Maybe I would have gone out somewhere. But since I didn’t, my next thought was how it was the perfect dress to wear to a winter wedding.

The embroidered detailing and scalloped hemming of this dreamy dress are paired in perfect harmony. And the gold and black lace-infused mesh bell-sleeves really makes this dress stands out. This dress wasn’t available in my size. But I definitely plan on exchanging this dress for the right size and find somewhere to wear this dress. Chic!

A faux fur wrap like this or this would be a great addition to the look.  When it comes to picking a color scheme for a winter wedding, I usually stick to black or jewel tones (burgundy, emerald green, navy, etc).  These colors also tend to flatter most skin tones!

The dress is very pretty and I admire you for doing the photo-shoot outside, facing the really cold weather. Your must have been frozen by the time you went back in. The details on the dress are beautiful and it is surely suitable for a winter wedding or the new year’s eve party.

You managed some great photos in such a short space of time in the cold! That is a great dress and you accessorised it well.

I love style ideas like this. My friend is attending a winter wedding soon and has no idea what to wear! I am going to have to pass this on to her.

I agree with Joanna, I was also thinking New Year’s Eve party as well. With the Bomb Cyclone blizzard we just had here I am not doing any outdoor photo shoots for awhile! It’s super cold and icy out here!
