Modern China Cabinet

Modern China Cabinet

I’m a serial kitchen-ware shopping and always knew that, no matter where I live, I need tons of storage. On this last move, I probably lost about 20% of my kitchen items due to breakage and it nearly killed me! Although I have a dining room set that includes a china cabinet, I decided I really wanted something more modern and polished for my prettier and prize-possession serving pieces and drinkware.

I came upon this Ikea Glass Door Cabinet that was both pretty and super affordable…it fit the bill perfectly. This piece is polished, clean, and simple, while still being extremely sturdy and durable.  Anything I’ve ever purchased from Ikea, I put together myself…although it’s a two-person job because of the stature of the piece. It stores our fine chinaAnnieglass serving pieces, unique drinkware, mercury class candle holders, along with bulkier pieces.  I can’t wait to replace what I’ve lost over the past year so that I can rearrange the shelves. It’s simple things like this that calms me and makes me smile.

This Modern China Cabinet would make a great add-on to the modern girl’s registry for her wedding. And as soon as I get really nice pots and pans, I will definitely store them here. I can also seeing this as a place for sweaters, jeans, purses, and shoes.

Something about me: Anyone who knows me knows that ANYTHING that’s in this cabinet, NO ONE can touch or use. Only I can remove and decide if it will be used. I normally use items in this cabinet when I’m having family & friends’ dinner or if there’s a special occasion going on. I’m pretty funny about my kitchenware! And there you have it! I am so in love with this cabinet. I’ve had it for about two years and have no complaints whatsoever. If this gal had more space, I would quickly repurchase it for pieces I plan on purchasing in the near future.

What do you think? Do you own a china cabinet…traditional or modern? If so, what do you store in yours?? If not, is this something you would consider purchasing in the future? I’d love to know!

Thank you so much for reading. And as always, have a beautiful day!  XOXO, –Candy–

I don’t have a china cabinet, but I’m actually on the lookout for one for the dining area of our house. But I like mine to not have glass doors, or at least they need to be dark or frosted. I don’t like seeing the stuff inside cabinets actually. I prefer to have things concealed behind doors. 🙂

I love your new china cabinet! I have a very old very traditional one in my house, but until the kids are raised and I have more time, it is low on the priority list. I can dream for now, though.

When I move out I’ll definetly make note of these because it’s one of the most beautiful parts of the house if you work to make it nice!
