KUWC Holiday in Brazil, Part 2

KUWC Holiday in Brazil, Part 2

On Monday, I shared the first post of my Holiday in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and today I’m sharing the second half of this trip. I really had a great time (but tiring) going through all 7,893 photos I took. Yes, I honestly took that many!!! But Brazil is so beautiful that I had to take as many photos as I could. Around every corner was beauty!

Everyday while in Brazil (9 days), we ate picanha. Before visiting Brazil, G. Boo made it several times. But nothing prepared for the way they made it. Can you say ‘Yummy Deliciousness’?!? I’m not sure if it was the seasoning or the meat, but it was the best steak meat I’ve ever had. My mouth is watering just thinking about it!

And let’s talk about the caipirinha! I’ve had these once or twice in Atlanta and Memphis and it was ok. But let me tell you: I drank these Every! Single! Day! If you ever visit, make sure you have the tropical caipirinha. The fruit soaks up the alcohol because they are not stingy with it!!!! We made sure we brought home a bottle of Brazilian cachaca so that I can attempt to make this drink at home. Hmmm, sounds like a great post!

What I really loved about the restaurants there is the fact that when you order food, it’s always family style. When you order picanha, it’s always enough for 3-4 people. And meats always come with rice, fries, and this flour & egg side (can’t think of its name). Just make sure you’re careful when you order, although your server will tell you how much you need!

Acai: For years, I’ve been hearing how delish acai is and I couldn’t wait to try it! It looks so creamy and yummy. But wouldn’t you know it…I didn’t like it. My uncle (who lives in Brazil) said for foreigners, it’s an acquired test. He said usually either you like it or you don’t. I fell into the latter. 🙁

Cheeseball Bread: Oh! My! God! I fell in love! I’ve never had cheeseball bread like this before. The cheese in the bread is so gooey, but bread/cheese gooey. It’s like the cheese is baked into the center of the bread dough. It’s a bit hard to explain the texture. All I’ve gotta say is you’ve gotta try it when you visit!

Now to the top of my list of foods I tried whil in Brazil: Panettone Bread!!! Now, I’ve seen this bread here in the States and never thought much of it. I always thought it was just fruit cake!  While having dinner with our Brazilian family, I tried it…only to be nice. *faint emoji* emoji   This stuff was good af…so much so that I ate half of it in one sitting. They told me the only kind to ever get is the one made by Bauducco. Can I tell you I immediately put 2 of them in my Amazon cart. The Holidays 2017 can’t get here fast enough!!!!

Sooo, that’s about it on food. I’d plan on dividing my Brazilian Roundup into three post, but decided to do two instead. I think it would just be too much. Because of this, I have a few more pictures in this post than I did in Part 1.

Make sure you check out my fashion posts herehere, and here that were taken in this beautiful country.
