Update: This post was completed over two weeks ago. When my fiance died, I put my blog in maintenance mode and no posts were released. Now that I’m up and running again, I didn’t want to get rid of the original text of this post. Just a briefing, a little background for those of you who may be confused to the post below.
Happy Friday! I know I’ve been MIA for the past couple of weeks. But I’ve been dealing with being uninspired during the LONGGGG winter weather we had for over a week. And last weekend, we had to rush G. Boo to the emergency room. He aggravated his sciatic nerve. And because of that, he discovered he had a herniated disk. And then on top of that, we found out he had the flu!!!! And you know how men are when they are hurt or sick! Big, Big Babies!!! And to top it off, the kids have been out of school since LAST FRIDAY!!!! 10 days!!! They pretty much had their Spring Break in January!!!
This past weekend was so much better: The temps were in the 60s, George is on the road to recovery, and I was able to get a couple of photo shoots in! I also joined a local gym last week and I’ve actually been going regularly and enjoying it! I’ve also been shopping for a piano for my daughter over the weekend. She’s had two piano lessons and no used piano is good enough for her. 🙁 Well, that’s what I’ve been up to during my ‘break’ I hope each of you had an enjoyable weekend!
Now…about this dress. Don’t you just love it?!? I swear I do! It’s dressy, yet fun at the same time! The million buttons on the puff sleeves of this dress really got me hooked. I have larger hands, so I really love it when the button holes stretch. That way I don’t have to unbutton and rebutton them. And you know how I feel about versatility! This dress can be worn with every type of shoe imaginable: Boots, OTK boots, regular boots, pumps, strappy sandals, flat sandals…I can even see paiirng Keds with it!
This is a straight cut, unlined crepe dress. Even so, I love that it’s not see-through. And you just can’t beat the price! I think this will be one of my favorite dresses for early spring.
Today, I’m headed to Mazatlan, Mexico to visit my parents for nine days. G. Boo was supposed to be on this trip with me. So this will be a bittersweet trip for me. In spite of, I can’t wait to share my travels here with you. (See last year’s posts here, here, and here.) So make sure you are following me on Instagram where I will be posting daily.
In Honor of My G. Boo
