Recipe: Giant Fruit Ice Cubes

Recipe: Giant Fruit Ice Cubes

I love to have myself a nice cocktail at least twice a week. And my choice of spirit is vodka…more specifically Purity Vodka! I was perusing one of my favorite blogs and ran across a fruit ice cube recipe and knew this was something I needed to try out. And boy am I glad I did. I’ve made this recipe twice already…the first time as large spheres, the second time as large ice cubes. Had I known about this, I would have added it to this recipe! But better late than never, right?

Because these ice cubes are larger than normal, they really do stand out! So now when I make cocktails, I can alternate between frozen fruit and these fruit ice cubes!

This recipe is so crazy easy that I almost don’t need to tell you how to make it. But here it goes:

  • Fruit (any kind will do)
  • Silicone ice cube mold
  • Blender
  • Freezer (Thought I’d throw that in there…LoL)

  • Blend all your fruit ( I wanted different colors so I blended mine separately – strawberry, pineapple, and blue/blackberries)
  • Pour your blended fruit into your silicone mold
  • Freeze overnight
  • Put into your favorite glass adding your favorite cocktail recipe
  • Drink up!

What I love about these fruity cubes is as they melt, they make your cocktail/mocktail fruity and colorful instead watered down.

Let me know what you think about these fruity ice cubes. And I’d also love to know your favorite cocktail/mocktail recipe! Do tell! Cheers!

It sounds like a very lovely drink for the summer. I don’t drink liquor, but I do like drinks mixed with fruit. I would love to try a non-alcohol version of this blend.

I often make these fruity ice cubes to massage my face especially when I am tired – it does wonders. I can’t drink something cold so I won’t be able to use it to tweak my drink.

What an interesting way to use the fruit cubes. Never would’ve thought to use them for facials. I must give this a try.

These fruit ice cubes look absolutely delicious. We’ve made some watermelon kind and some apple kind. However, I do not drink them in alcohol, more like lemonades, and water. <3
