I’m so happy to be back, Y’all!!! It’s been a few months since I’ve posted here as well as on social media. Since my fiance George died, I just really haven’t been motivated to blog…although I missed it tremendously and really desired to do so. The past couple of weeks, I’ve been researching areas of blogging as well as creating my blogging schedule. And it felt absolutely wonderful doing so. I feel like I’m on my way back to my normal blogging self. Even though I haven’t posted much on my blog or social media, I have posted on my IG Stories whenever I’m in Miami…which has been a ton of fun!

And let me say this before I splurge on what my plans are for the weekend. If you follow me on Instagram, you know that I am dating someone. And just because I have a boyfriend now doesn’t mean I’m over my Georgy and I don’t miss him. I miss him tremendously and think about him all the time…which I’ve really come to hate. George was a beautiful man, father, boyfriend, and person. These days, I really hate I think about him because, since his death, so much negativity has been attached to his death by others and their actions. I definitely plan on doing a post on what I mean by this, my experiences, and advice on death based on my experience.

Now…Last weekend, we buried my cousin. While it was a sad occasion, it was absolutely wonderful seeing and spending time with my out-of-town cousins. It seems the only time we see each other is when there’s a funeral. This year, we are making it a point of getting together while we still have the chance.

I have a 3-day weekend which is pretty awesome. Well, truth be told, it’s more like a 5-day weekend. Well kinda. Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, I plan on being in Miami fixing up the last details of our condo. So no fun and games for me those days. I’ll fly back to Memphis on Wednesday morning and head straight to work from the airport.

Tonight, we are meeting up with a few friends for dinner. And Saturday and Sunday, I plan on getting a couple of photo shoots in that I’m really excited about. Gotta stay in mode! Mark will be glued to the TV for March Madness…which means he MAY be out of my hair. And that’s a HUGE ‘may’. And hopefully I will get to try out the Peanut Butter Banana Pudding on Sunday. If not, I will definitely do so next weekend.

Oh, my laptop crashed (insert ‘cry baby’ here)!!! I hadn’t really used it in about four weeks. A couple of weeks ago, I turned it on and all I got was the BLUE SCREEN with words. I brought it to work a couple of days ago and I.T. told me it had crashed. I was absolutely devastated!!! The I.T. guy took it with him and I ordered a new internal hard drive. Until it’s ready, I’m using my old laptop. Thank God I never got rid of it!!!

So what are your plans for the weekend? Relaxing and lounging at home? Or running around like crazy? I’d love to know!

Thank you so much for reading. And as always, have a beautiful day!  XOXO, Candy

It’s crazy how as time goes by even with best intentions we let our family and friends get away from us. It’s not until the loss of a mutual loved one that we are drawn back together. The conversation wrapped around huggs of promises to stay in touch and not to wait for another loss to bring you together again, best intentions.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I can’t imagine. But it is good that you are finding happiness again and that you’re able to blog again.
