Chocolate Peanut Butter Protein Bites Recipe

Chocolate Peanut Butter Protein Bites Recipe

Chocolate Peanut Butter Protein Bites Recipe

A few months ago on Insta-Stories, I mentioned that I was going to make Mark and myself some protein bites so we could have something quick and easy for weekday mornings and just to snack on in-between meals. I didn’t realize how awesome these protein bites would be! Mark’s a huge peanut butter lover whereas I’m not! So for both of us to love them says a lot. I didn’t take many photos of these because I wasn’t sure if I would share the recipe. But after tasting and loving them, I just knew I had to share it with y’all. And, of course I regret not getting more photos. So shall we?

Ingredients:

1 to 1 and 1/4 cup oats (I use 1 and 1/4, but try 1 cup first and check your consistency to see what you think!)

1/2 cup peanut or almond butter

1 tablespoon flax seeds

2 table spoons chia seeds

1/3 cup honey or agave

1/4 cups milk chocolate or dark chocolate chips (I added a bit more than this.)

1 tablespoon chocolate protein powder (if you don’t want to buy a whole container you can use cacao)

Directions:

Combine all ingredients together, roll into bite sized balls and store in your refrigerator for at least an hour before eating. I will make them the day before and let them chill overnight.

I used this recipe as a foundation. They’re under 200 calories and have almost 6g of protein, so they’re a really handy morning option for us. He asked me to make them again so I think we’re heading in the right direction.

This recipe is also really similar and adds vanilla extract which sounds delish!

Thank you so much for reading and sharing. I love having you here. And as always, have a beautiful day! XOXO, Candy

I like both chocolates and peanut butter. Combining them both will be the best. Hmm, too much sugar and calories though. :0)

These sound super easy to make. That’s definitely a huge perk for me since I don’t have a ton of time with the new baby!

I’m a big fan of these bites especially because they hit the mark and give you a much needed sweet protein boost. I’m all for great treats.
