I first showcased this burgundy maxi dress last year as part of a Three-Part Valentine’s Day series (See that here). I loved it then and I still love it now. When we were in the planning stages of our London trip, I scoured hotel ballrooms specifically for this dress. (London recap this week, I promise.) The ballroom at the Waldorf Hilton London was absolutely gorgeous, bright, and airy. I could just close my eyes and imagine a 1930s event taking place and me walking into the ballroom.
I purchased this sweater for my London trip (recap coming next week). I had a specific skirt I wanted to wear this with. But I was really digging the color that I wanted to wear it before the London trip. As my daughter and I were driving, we came upon this mural. We both looked at each other and knew what the other was thinking. We pulled in and took photos of each other. It was truly a fun and sporatic photo session between mother and daughter. Unfortunately, I wont be posting any of her photos because she felt they weren’t ‘good enough’ for my blog. I, of course, didn’t agree. But if she isn’t comfortable with me posting them, then oh well. You babes/guys are out of luck!
Nothing says family like the Holidays! And with Christmas in five weeks, I’ve been creating menus, gathering recipes, decorating the table, and getting the house ready for family, food, and fun. This year, we are hosting Christmas at our Memphis home and I am way too excited! PS – I am already really in love with the Holiday tablescape I’m creating this year (post coming soon – see last year’s here). But I’m sure I will have to clear the table settings to make room for actual dining.
A few weeks ago, I was invited to the Essence + Ford event, My City, Four Ways here in Memphis. (Previous post here) The event was held at The Propcellar, a venue I surprisingly haven’t heard of before. I am a native Memphian who relocated to Atlanta about four years ago. But I am now spending lots more time in Memphis and I find I am being introduced to new places and events in Memphis, as well as being reintroduced to those places I sort-of remember.
